"lOVE" - Letter (Confirmation 2 Retreat)

Suggestions for writing PARENT’S LETTER

(Dead-line date: January 07, 2024)

Before parents start writing the letter, please spend some time in prayer.  Pray for God’s guidance in writing the letter and for the openness of your child when reading it.  May God’s love to His precious child be expressed through your parenting love.

  • Emphasize strongly and firmly that he or she is a precious gift of God to the family (God’s precious child).
  • Express your love, concerns and wishes for your child.
  • Share with him or her some of the practical works or sacrifices you have done or are doing for his or her well-being.
  • Recall a beautiful/significant experience you have with your child (childhood).
  • Affirm the child’s talents/gifts and effort in trying to do his or her best in school, at home…
  • Finally, gentle and compassionately inform him or her of one thing you prayerfully wish and hope they can improve in or change.
  • Don’t forget to include somewhere in your letter the phrase: “I/mommy/daddy loves you!”
  • *** You may enclose with the letters a few pictures that is significant to the child.
  • * Remember to write your child’s name on the envelope. Please keep this as a SECRET and turn in the letter(s) to the office BY January 22, 2023. Thank you so much.

You are a precious child of God and you are also my beloved child. God has given you to our family as a precious gift. Hope you know this and take it to heart.

Know also that I love you (name) and I want what is best for you.  Every day I pray for you.  I pray that God will take care of you and protect you.  Know when you are going through difficult times, God is there for you and loves you very much.

At home, you help out and we truly appreciate that. At school, you tried your best to achieve your goals and dreams. Even if you don’t have any concrete dreams and goals yet, I hope that you will have set for yourself something and will one day be successful at it.  Remember it is not success that counts, but your faithfulness. 

Faith is very important, and we hope that you will always hold on to your faith.   You will face many challenges in life and faith in God will help you jump through those obstacles. Remember that nothing is impossible with God.  We will always be there for you.  We are sorry for the times you have not felt our love, but know that we do love you very much.

Sugerencias para escribir carta de Papas

(Fecha límite: 07 de enero de 2024)

Antes de escribir la carta, por favor tome tiempo a orar.  Ora a Dios por su guía en escribiendo la carta y cuando su hijo/a lo esta leyendo.  Que Dios le brinda el amor a su preciosa hijo/a sea expresada por su crianza de amor.

  • Enfatizar fuerte y firme que el o ella es precioso un regalo de Dios al la familia (Precioso hijo/a de Dios).
  • Expresar tu amor, preocupaciones y deseos para su hijo/a.
  • Comparte con el/ella unos de practico obras o sacrificios que tu has hecho o que estas haciendo por el/ella de su bienestar.
  • Acuérdese de un bonito/significado experiencia que tu has tenido cuando el/ella era niño. (infancia)
  • Afirmar los talentos/regalos y esfuerzos en siendo lo mejor en escuela y en casa,
  • Finalmente, con gentiles y compasión informe su hijo/a de una cosa, que tu oraciones deseos y esperanza puede mejorar o cambiar.
  • No olvides a incluir algo en tu carta una frase:

  “Yo, mama/papa te quiere mucho!”

Fe es muy importante, y nosotros tenemos esperanza que tu siempre vas a mantener tu fe.  Tú vas a tener muchas retos en tu vida y fe en Dios, Dios siempre te va ayudar a brincar por esos obstáculos. Acuérdate que nada es imposible para Dios.

Nosotros siempre vamos a estar contigo.  Perdona nos por los tiempos que no sentí estés amor, pero sabes que te queremos mucho.

Những đề nghị giúp phụ huynh viết thư cho con 

(Hạn chót trước:  Tháng 1 ngày 07 năm 2024)

Trước khi viết thư, xin quí vị phụ huynh dành ít thời giờ để cầu nguyện. Hãy cầu xin Chúa hướng dẫn để viết thư và xin Ngài mở lòng con cái khi  đọc lá thư ấy. Xin tình yêu Chúa dành cho đúa con quí giá được diễn tả qua tình yêu của cha mẹ.

  • Hãy nhấn mạnh và chắc chắn rằng con cái mình là hồng ân quí giá, Chúa ban tặng cho gia đình (là con cái quí giá của Chúa.)
  • Hãy nói về tình yêu, những quan tâm và mong muốn của mình cho con cái.
  • Hãy chia sẻ với con cái một số công việc phải làm hằng ngày, hay những hy sinh đã và đang trải qua vì hạnh phúc của con cái.
  • Hãy nhớ lại một kinh nghiệm đẹp / có ý nghĩa mà mình đã có với con cái (thời thơ ấu).
  • Khẳng định những tài năng/năng khiếu và nỗ lực của con cái khi chúng cố gắng làm tốt nhất ở nhà trường hay ở nhà.
  • Sau cùng hãy dịu dàng và nhân hậu nói với con cái ước vọng của mình lúc cầu nguyện là muốn chúng cải tiến và thay đổi.
  • Đừng quên viết trong thư, bất cứ chỗ nào,  là Cha/ mẹ luôn yêu thương con “I love you!”

***Phụ Huynh có thể kèm theo một vài hình ảnh có ý nghĩa đối với con cái mình.

Hãy nhớ viết tên của con em trên phong bì . xin ghi nhớ lá thư này là bí mật, và gửi vào văn phòng, Tháng 1 ngày 22 năm 2023.  Cảm ơn rất nhiều.

Con thương mến,Con là một đứa trẻ yêu quý của Chúa và cũng là đứa con thân yêu của cha mẹ. Chúa đã ban con cho gia đình của chúng ta là một hồng ân quý giá. Hy vọng con biết điều này và ghi nhớ trong lòng. 

Biết rằng cha mẹ yêu con ( tên) và cha me muốn những gì tốt nhất cho con. Mỗi ngày cha mẹ cầu nguyện cho con. Cha mẹ cầu nguyện xin Chúa gìn giữ và bảo vệ con. Khi con đang trải qua thời gian khó khăn, sẽ có Chúa ở bên con, giúp con và yêu con rất nhiều.

Ở nhà, có sự giúp đỡ của con, Cha mẹ rất hài lòng. Ở trường, con đã cố gắng hết sức để đạt được mục địch và ước mơ của con. Thậm chí nếu con không có bất cứ ước mơ và mục địch cụ thể nào, Cha mẹ hy vọng rằng con sẽ đặt cho mình một cái gì đó và một ngày sẽ thành công. Hãy nhớ rằng không phải chỉ có đếm những thành công, nhưng là lòng trung thành của con. Đức tin rất quan trọng, và Cha me hy vọng rằng con sẽ luôn giữ vững đức tin của con. Con sẽ phải đối diện với nhiều thử thách  trong cuộc sống và niềm tin, Thiên Chúa sẽ giúp con vượt qua những trở ngại. Hãy nhớ rằng không có gì mà Chúa không làm được.

Cha Mẹ luôn ở bên con. Cha mẹ xin lỗi vì những lần con đã không cảm thấy được tình yêu của cha mẹ, nhưng hãy nhớ là cha mẹ luôn yêu con rất nhiều.

Dear Parents

In the Spirit of Christmas, Confirmation Program is doing a Christmas Celebration for all students and volunteers.  We would like to ask if parents could help with the following:  Please click this link to sign your name or you can contact us directly by email (admin@saintcolumbanym.org)  or phone (714) 534-1174  x 304

2:00pm – Set up table, chairs and sound systems (need at least 4 men)

10:00pm – Cook spaghetti (need at least 7 people)

If you cannot help us in the kitchen because of your busy schedule, I would like to ask if you can donate:

  • Dessert
  • Drink
  • Gift (raffle prize for students)

If any of the parents are working with sound and tech, can you please help?  We are always having trouble with the sound system and microphone.  We hope you can help us this coming Sunday, Dec 18, 2022.  Students will have prayer together in the Hall and entertainment.  We want to avoid any problems that we normally encounter.  

Hopefully with your help and prayers, the students will have a good time learning  about Christmas and bonding time with the class.

Thank you for your time.  May the holy and blessed Advent season bring peace and joy to you and your loved one.

En el Espíritu de la Navidad, el Programa de Confirmación está realizando una Celebración de Navidad para todos los estudiantes y voluntarios. Si alguno de los padres está trabajando con sonido y tecnología, ¿puede ayudarnos? Siempre estamos teniendo problemas con el sistema de sonido y el micrófono. Esperamos que nos pueda ayudar el próximo domingo 18 de diciembre de 2022. Los estudiantes tendrán oración juntos en el Salón y entretenimiento. Queremos evitar cualquier problema que normalmente encontramos.

Con suerte, con su ayuda y oraciones, los estudiantes pasarán un buen rato aprendiendo sobre la Navidad y el tiempo de vinculación con la clase.

Kính Chào Phụ Huynh

Trong không khí chuẩn bị mùa Giáng sinh, Chương trình Thêm sức sẽ tổ chức Lễ mừng Giáng Sinh cho tất cả học sinh và các giảng viên trong chương trình Thêm Sức. Chúng tôi  xin phụ huynh có thể giúp những việc sau:  Vui lòng nhấn vào đây để  ghi tên nếu quý phụ huynh có thể giúp 1 tay trong ngày này hoặc quý phụ huynh có thể liên hệ trực tiếp với chúng tôi qua email (admin@saintcolumbanym.org) hoặc điện thoại (714) 534-1174 x 304

Nếu quý phụ huynh không thể giúp chúng tôi trong nhà bếp vì lịch trình bận rộn của  phụ huynh, quý phụ huynh có thể giúp  đóng góp:

  • Món tráng miệng
  • Nước Uống
  • Quà (dùng để chơi sinh hoạt với các em)

Nếu bất kỳ phụ huynh nào đang làm việc với âm thanh và công nghệ,  có thể vui lòng giúp đỡ chương trinh.  Chúng tôi luôn gặp sự cố với hệ thống âm thanh và micrô. Chúng tôi hy vọng phụ huynh có thể giúp chúng tôi vào Chúa Nhật, ngày 18 tháng 12 năm 2022. Học sinh sẽ cùng nhau cầu nguyện trong Hội trường và  giải trí, và làm hoạt cảnh.  Chúng tôi muốn tránh bất kỳ vấn đề nào mà chúng tôi thường gặp phải.

Hy vọng với sự giúp đỡ và lời cầu nguyện của quý vị các em sẽ có khoảng thời gian vui vẻ khi học hỏi & tìm hiểu vềmùa Giáng sinh và thời gian gắn kết với lớp.
